Pulau Sambu Fuel Terminal is listed as a historic terminal in Indonesia as it is the first terminal to operate in Indonesia. In addition, the Pula Sambu Fuel Terminal also made history as the first terminal to win an award as a Bonded Logistics Center (PLB).
The Pulau Sambu Fuel Terminal is located in the Singapore Strait and adjacent to Batam City, both of which are main trade routes for crude oil and fuel in the Southeast Asian Region. With its strategic position, the Sambu island terminal become one of the main trading hubs in Southeast Asia.
By this potential, Pulau Sambu Fuel Terminal provides 6 docks with a capacity of 3,500- 100,000 DWT and 21 storage tanks for fuel oil (BBM) with a total capacity of 320,624 KL. In addition, Pula Sambu Terminal is also equipped with various advanced facilities such as laboratories, dipping tape, etc. Operated on an area of 64 hectares, Pulau Sambu Fuel Terminal stores High Speed Diesel (HSD), Biofuel and Marine Fuel Oil products with low sulfur content.
